I also need to get my wisdom teeth removed soon, so this question is actually really helpful for me 2!

Here's what my (surface-level) research got me:

First things first, are you getting local anesthesia or IV sedation?

• Local anesthesia simply numbs your mouth while you stay awake.
• IV sedation is what puts you to sleep.

In both cases, people respond to them differently. Some wake up a little dazed and nothing more. Some are a bit confused. Some cry. Some get loopy and possibly talk nonsense.

"As the drugs wear off, your brain's normal social filter turns off, memory formation is delayed."

Do not fret! Majority of people wake up a little tired/sleepy, repeat questions, or slur their words. When they do talk, it usually is in nonsensical sentences, no secret spilling 🗝️⋆. The more bizarre incidents we see online are very rare cases, or exaggerated.

Psst. Still paranoid?

Fall into a daydream. You know those made-up scenarios or fantasies you come up with to fall asleep to? Utilize that. Before 'going under', start putting your mind somewhere else rather than suppressing every incriminating piece of knowledge against you.......oof

Bonus Tip: The biggest of your worries now should be the puffiness after the operation.

Day 2-3 is usually when people get the most swollen. Keep that in mind when you schedule your appointment.
